In the current BIM model clash detection process between interdisciplinary, commercial BIM solution software is often utilized for clash detection. However, substantial effort is required for analyzing detection results and classifying the severity of clash. Therefore, this study aims to decrease the amount of work necessary for clash detection. To achieve this, we constructed an integrated ontology between interdisciplinary BIM models to denote various types of clashes and associated information. We also developed a process to classify clash severity using artificial intelligence-based and rule-based inference approaches. At this point, we distinguished between hard and soft clashes, establishing classification criteria for each, and expressed various clash information by constructing an ontology based on the RDF graph. Through this, it is expected to improve the productivity of the clash detection work by facilitating the quick extraction of the requirements for clash correction and preventing omission of clash detection.
